GFMIC Inc. Profile

Background

Government Financial Management Innovators Circle (GFMIC), Inc., formerly Electronic Financials Users’ Circle (EUC), Inc., was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) July 15, 2008 as a non-stock and non-profit association to include in the scope of its membership those who are using not only e-NGAS and e-Budget systems but also other financial management information systems.  Its new name was approved by the SEC on February 21, 2019.

Initially, GFMIC started in 2006 as an association of users and enthusiasts of the electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS).

GFMIC has now evolved to an association of government financial management professionals who utilized Information and Communications Technology as a tool for productivity, transparency and accountability.  It is for this reason that the GFMIC Board of Trustees felt the need of the change in its name to truly reflect the ideals, vision and mission for what the GFMIC now stands for.
